Experience the fun of landing on a well maintained 2600 foot turf airstrip on an Island in the Mississippi River or land your sea plane and pull up on the sandy beach.
What to bring? Your own meat to grill, covered dish, tableware and drink. We will provide grills, tables, coffee, water. We will also have additional disposable tableware. We will have some additional meat to grill for those that are unable to bring their own.
Ample space is available for sea planes and boats to dock or beach.
Special notes: In the interest of safety we must have VFR conditions reported at Prairie Du Chien, WI (PDC) of 2500 feet broken or better and visibility of 3 miles or better. PDC AWOS available at 608-326-9122 or 119.925. In the event of marginal weather you may contact the hosts at 319-480-0913.
